We can only consider applicants who live in Illinois, Southeast Wisconsin (Madison & Milwaukee south), or Northwest Indiana (South Bend & Rensselaer west).

We do not adopt dogs to families who live outside this geographical area and we do not "ship" rescue dogs. All applicants within this geographical area must be able to physically travel to northern Illinois to meet/adopt a rescue dog. We like to keep our rescue dogs near us for peace of mind and post-adoption follow-up. There are shelter dogs in every state dying for good homes, therefore it is not practical for us to go through extraordinary efforts to place a dog several hundred miles away. We do not make exceptions to this policy under any circumstances.

Charlotte

Charlotte  Charlotte  Charlotte
ADOPTION PENDING! Charlotte's owners were moving, and she was left behind at her local animal shelter. She's a very sweet young lady, about 2-3 yrs. old. She is good with all people and has been good with other dogs. Charlotte walks well on leash; even children have been able to walk her. When she was turned in, the shelter shaved her down, due to severe matting. Her glorious coat has now grown back, and Charlotte is once again very beautiful. We would love to see Charlotte placed with a loving family where she could be their center of attention. She would reward them with her devotion and unconditional love. If you are interested in Charlotte, please complete the online adoption application.

Tundra

Tundra  Tundra  Tundra  Tundra
Tundra is a young girl, we estimate her age to be 1- 2 yrs old. She came to Rescue from a local humane society where she was left by her owner. Tundra has exhibited some prey drive, barking and chasing rabbits and squirrels. She can be a pushy dog, especially when it comes to food. For that reason, we will place her with a family where she can be the only dog, and can receive the time and attention she craves. She is in need of training, and we've noticed her eyes lighting up when we work with her — she loves getting that personal attention. Tundra shows lots of potential and with the right family will blossom into a lovely lady. If you are interested in Tundra, please complete the online adoption application.
